Weddings

Weddings in Old Lyme often favor classic prestige cars, think a careful, camera-ready entrance at the Florence Griswold Museum or a sunset drive along the Connecticut River. We’ll ensure timing for portraits and that your chauffeur knows the best spots on Lyme Street and the shoreline for photos.

Corporate Transfers

Executives and visiting teams appreciate discreet, punctual service. Our corporate chauffeurs handle downtown runs to nearby convention spaces, meetings in New Haven or Hartford, and comfortable rides between I-95 exits and waterfront hotels.

Airport Transfers

Schedule airport runs to Bradley International (BDL), Tweed-New Haven (HVN), or larger hubs, booking early for peak travel windows makes a big difference. Your chauffeur will factor in traffic on I-95 and give you buffer time for luggage and check-in.

Planning Tips

Use these Planning Tips to get the most from your chauffeur-driven day: book early for May–June and September–October wedding and prom seasons; schedule pickups to/from airports with cushion time for traffic and security; and allow an extra 15–30 minutes at scenic stops like Sound View Beach or the Florence Griswold Museum for photos.

Timing & Photos

A chauffeur can be your on-call timing partner, holding cars for photo sessions on Lyme Street or coordinating arrival windows with venue staff so you’re never rushed.

Local Roads & Routes

We know how Route 156, I-95 congestion patterns, and seasonal traffic near the Connecticut River mouth affect travel times. That local touch keeps pickups punctual and stress-free.

How to Book

Booking with RentX is straightforward: choose vehicle and service, confirm pickup and drop-off points (we’ll note spots like the Old Lyme town green or Sound View boardwalk), and add any stops for photos or business meetings. For busy dates, put a deposit down early to secure the chauffeur and specific vehicle model.

Practical booking advice

If you need airport transfers, indicate flight numbers. For wedding days, block additional time between ceremony and reception, photography often runs long, and having a chauffeur ready eases transitions.

Pricing & Packages

We offer hourly and event-based pricing with clear packages for hourly chauffeur service, half-day events, and full-day private hires. Talk to our team about an estimate tailored to your route, vehicle choice, and any wait time for photos or multiple stops.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re curious about logistics, safety, or what to expect, see a few common questions below.

How far in advance should I book for a wedding or prom?

For peak months, secure your vehicle and chauffeur at least 3–6 months in advance. Popular models and experienced chauffeurs fill quickly; early booking also ensures time for any custom requests like specific pickup locations or extended photo stops.

Do chauffeurs handle luggage and car setup for babies or special needs?

Yes. Our chauffeurs are trained to handle luggage and can assist with child seats when requested in advance. We’ll confirm any special requirements while booking to make sure the vehicle is correctly prepared.

Are vehicles insured and professionally inspected?

Absolutely. All vehicles in our network meet local insurance and safety standards and go through regular inspections. Chauffeurs are vetted, licensed, and trained to provide a secure, comfortable ride.
