RentX SMS messaging program and opt-in

RentX Inc. sends text messages only to people who ask us to. This page explains what the program is, exactly where and how you opt in, what we send, and how to stop.

Where you opt in

The only place RentX asks for permission to text you is the quote form at rentx.com/quote. On the final step of that form, directly under your name, email address and mobile number, there is a checkbox. It is never pre-ticked, you can submit the form without ticking it, and ticking it is the only way to join the program.

The checkbox reads, word for word:

Yes, text me about my quote and booking. RentX may send quote updates, booking reminders and replies from our team. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Beside that wording the form links our Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions.

If you text us first

You can also start the conversation yourself. If you text one of the RentX numbers, or reply to a message from us, we reply about that enquiry or booking. You can stop those replies at any time with STOP.

What we send

Quote updates, including prices and availability for the vehicle you asked about.
Booking reminders, such as pickup times, vehicle details and driver contact.
Replies from the RentX team when you text us back.

This is a customer care and transactional program. We do not send marketing campaigns to it.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on your own quote or booking. A typical quote or booking generates a handful of messages.

Cost

RentX does not charge you for these messages. Msg & data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.

How to stop, and how to get help

Reply STOP to any RentX message and we will stop texting you. Reply HELP for help, or call us on 888-957-3689 or email support@rentx.com. Consent is not a condition of purchase: you can request a quote and book with RentX without ever agreeing to receive texts. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Mobile numbers and SMS consent collected by RentX are never sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. The full detail is in the RentX Privacy Policy, and the terms of our service are in the RentX Terms and Conditions.
