Do Not Sell My Personal Information (CCPA/CPRA) Policy

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) gives California residents the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of their personal information. Some other U.S. state privacy laws grant similar rights.
For purposes of this notice, “RentX” (“we,” “our,” or “us”) refers to the operators of rentx.com.

1. What counts as a “sale” or “share”?

Under the CCPA/CPRA, sale or sharing is broadly defined. It can include:

* We do not sell customer names, phone numbers, or payment data to data brokers.

2. How to opt out

You may exercise your opt-out rights in any of the following ways:

1. Web form:

   • Click the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in our footer.

   • Complete the short request form and submit.

2. Phone:

   • Call us at 888-957-3689 and tell the support agent you wish to opt out of the “sale or sharing” of personal information.

3. Authorized agent:

   • An agent may submit a request on your behalf. We will require proof of the agent’s authority and may still ask you to verify your identity directly.

4. Global Privacy Control (GPC):

   • If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, our site treats that signal as a valid opt-out for the browser/device.

We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and honor it within 15 business days (as required by law).

3. Verification & response

To protect your data, we may ask for limited information (e.g., e-mail address or recent booking ID) to confirm the request. We will use that data only to process your opt-out.

4. No discrimination

Opting out will not affect service quality, pricing, or your ability to use RentX. However, certain personalized features (e.g., tailored offers) may no longer be available once third-party cookies are disabled.

5. Data from minors

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

6. Updates to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time to reflect changes in law or our practices. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates when it was last revised.
