Executive sedans from Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volvo and similar makers make up this group, from mid-size models to flagship limousine-style saloons. They suit business travel, airport transfers, anniversary evenings and a couple arriving at a wedding, for one or two passengers who do not need the room of an SUV. Cabin air conditioning is standard, and most cars have leather seating and rear cup holders. Ambient lighting, rear controls, a named sound system and surround speakers appear on some cars only. Because sizes differ widely, ask which model you are quoted and how much rear legroom it offers.
